Our Farm
Smith Reining Horses is a family owned and operated reining horse breeder, located in Autryville, North Carolina. We pride in running our farm like your grandparents did. Broken handshakes or the common 'I'll call you right back', with no follow through isn't good enough for us at SRH. Being raised in southern homes taught us to value the phrase 'a man is only as good as his word'. Different than most, we will follow through with our word. While we will continue to grow in the coming years, we will always maintain that small-town customer service and ensure our animals are taken care of with the highest regard. SRH will be producing and providing you with your next top show pen prospect! At Smith Reining Horses we feel incredibly lucky that we get to do what we love. We’d love for you to take part in the Smith Reining Horses experience.
Our Stock
Here at SRH we maintain a smaller, and high quality breeding farm. We aim to do things like the ones years before us did. We pride in our "less is more" strategy. By breeding less mares, we are able to maintain more quality to meet the highest levels. We guarantee a better customer service simply by treating you like family, just as we would want to be treated ourselves!

“The proud owner of Smith Reining Horses is myself, Brody Smith. Creating this business has allowed for myself and my wife to come together and share our passion for horses. While I had horses in the past, breeding was a new extreme for myself. While I work full-time in asphalt quality control, I also enjoy hunting and spending time with our horses on my days off. My wife, Hannah Smith, however, has been a horse enthusiast since she was born. Hannah knew how to ride before she even knew how to walk. She currently works full time as a Paramedic, is obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management, while also maintaining the family business and farm. We were both raised to have important values and morals that will continue to carry into SRH for years to come. We truly believe it takes a team to run our business, and we would love to have you become a part of our family!”

We provide premium-quality foals bred from our own exceptional stock. Our barn highlights a selection of outstanding broodmares, and we collaborate with local reproductive services to produce your future show champion. As we contemplate expansion, SRH remains committed to our roots, prioritizing local support, grounded perspectives, and dependable service. Our aim is to emphasize quality over quantity in our production endeavors.

- Second, "MODERN VAQUERA" ('Vaquero') Filly, MODERN GUN X SIZZLIN VAQUERA, foaled 02.10.2024. MODERN GUN LTE $400k, with producing earnings as well! This filly is eligible for NRHA, NRBC, NARS, and 100X nominations. She is AQHA/APHA, 6 panel N/N, full color panel available, & all vetting UTD.
- Third, 🇺🇸"GUNNABE A REVOLUTION"🇺🇸 ('Genesis') Filly, STEADY SMOKING GUNS X DUN GOT DREAMS. Foaled 05.16.2024. STEADY SMOKING GUNS out of the legendary GUNNER, a "family horse". With LTE $11k, and producer earnings! DUN GOT DREAMS is legendary herself, as a producing mare and daughter of the great EINSTEIN. Upon this foal's arrival eligible nominations will include NRHA & NRBC with AQHA/APHA registrations.
- Last, "SIZZLIN VAQUERA" 2010 broodmare in foal to GUNNER DUN IT AGAIN due: 03/22/2025. Producer Earnings over $2k. GUNNER DUN IT AGAIN has over $113k LTE & $340k PE. She is broodmare sound and is nominated in NRHA, NRBC, and NRHA Sire and Dam Offspring Certified.
